14/11/16 - shooting at car park.

Here is a video of me doing a freestyle for the music video at Stratford car park as one of our locations. It was a good shooting day, got lots of footage we could use and because we knew what we were going to film it was so much more easier for us so we didn't have to think about what we wanted to film. While during this video you can see Abigail filming her.

Own observation

From my own observation I found that a lot of people listen to afrobeats on a daily basis, such as my two group members Abigail and Daisy and a lot of their friends do it as well when they’re doing their work or sitting alone or even with each other.

Audience figures:

NSG: love & affection – 191,926 views

Maleek Berry: kontrol – 2,340,164 views

Eugy x Mr Eazi: dance for me – 1,864,463 views

Vianni: recognise – 363,511 views

Feedback on the audience research

From all 15 responses they’re pretty straight forward in what helps us out as group and what we can try and include in our own music video. Such as for the responses on how old they are majority of it were aged 18-19 (53.3%) which is basically our target audience.

A few other questions that may help us out from this is that the majority of the answer was ‘yes’ with 46.7% for those who do listen to afrobeats.  And what we also found out was that for one of the questions the answers was evenly equal with the score two of the options got 13.3% and the two with 33.3% which left one option with 6.7%. What would really help us out from a question is that a lot of people use a common afrobeat dance(s).

Constraints for our music video

Soundtrack for our music video

This is the track me and my group have decided to use. The reason for this particular song  is that their is no official video, meaning we can make our video in our own style, with all our combined ideas inside. This video contains very popular afro beat artist in the afro- beat industry, this is beneficial as it will appeal to our potential audience correctly. On the other hand, these two artist are well known for having dancers in majority of their videos therefore the video will connect correctly with the video.

Lyrics for our sound track

Demographic profile for music video

These are two profiles of our potential type of audience who will be intrigued by our music video. I have based their interest and hobbies relating to our music video, also how they could relate to our genre.

Concept of our music video

This is a spider plan that me and my group drew, this is our base line concept, of the locations, dancers, music, equipment's and costumes.
The reason for this is so we can have an idea of  how we will want our video to go like, and how we will want our video to commence.

Inspiration for music videos

Above are a few videos me and my group have decided to look at for inspiration and idea's.
The chosen videos are mainly afro beats, with dancers.
Our potential video will contain live dancers involved to fit the conventions of an afro-beat.
